چکیده
Micromorphological investigation of soils is a powerful tool for studying the transformation under influence various weathering mechanisms. In Arctic region, seasonal freezing/thawing processes, cryohydration leading type weathering. Soils different-aged islands Lena River Delta were investigated. Thin sections analyzed using polarizing microscope Leica DM750P (Leica Camera AG, Wetzlar, Germany). X-ray fluorescence analysis was used to determine chemical composition soils. As result work, rate soil minerals estimated, fabric considered, as well soil. The accumulation poorly sorted circular striated sand due active noted on young from Samoylov isl. formation biogenic sand-silt crumb aggregates at more ancient sites. Physical cryogenic processes has been noted.

[1] Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS)–derived measurements of Lena River effective width (We) display a high predictive capacity (r 2 = 0.81, mean absolute error < 25%) to forecast downstream discharge conditions at Kusur station, some 8 d and 700 km later. Satellite-derived mean flow propagation speed (88 km d 1 or 1.01 m s ) compares well with that estimated from ground da...
متن کاملThe exchange of carbon dioxide between wet arctic tundra and the atmosphere at the Lena River Delta, Northern Siberia
The exchange fluxes of carbon dioxide between wet arctic polygonal tundra and the atmosphere were investigated by the micrometeorological eddy covariance method. The investigation site was situated in the centre of the Lena River Delta in Northern Siberia (7222 N, 12630 E). The study region is characterized by a polar and distinctly continental climate, very cold and ice-rich permafrost and its...
